Dr. Lisa Parker, District 44 Superintendent, says two weeks ago a student at Kimes Elementary tested positive for the coronavirus and the instructor who taught the student, but didn’t come within 6 feet, was not sent home.

Dr. Parker said:

School District number 44 instructs 1,500 students and serves primarily the community of Streator, Illinois.

Parker clarified this was not something that was recent and the school is doing fine at this time.
