Parking restrictions are taking effect on seven streets in Oglesby. The City Council last week approved one-side only parking on First, Second, Third, South Glen, Duran, and Hazen streets, and Dale Ave. Parking on just one side is expected to make it easier for traffic to go through, especially when there are emergency vehicles.
The restrictions are taking effect as the city makes and installs the signs. The city council may consider restricting parking on more streets after talking about it with residents in the neighborhoods that would be affected.
