Republican Tom Demmer clearly defeated Democrat Seth Wiggins with 62% of the vote to Wiggin’s 38% for a seat on the Illinois House of Representatives in the 90th District.
Demmer received 16,300 votes to Wiggins’ 9,981 with Ogle county still not reporting. WCMY news has contacted Ogle County Clerk Laura Cook who said there was an unprecedented and overwhelming 83% turnout yesterday. Votes will be retabulated tomorrow for this race and possibly published Friday.
The incumbent Demmer assumed office in 2013.
