In a race that changed leads multiple times during the course of Tuesday night, incumbent Democrat Lance Yednock retained his seat on the Illinois House of Representatives for the 76th District.
Yednock took 54% of the vote to Republican Travis Breeden’s 46%.
Breeden looked like the winner as late as 9:15pm Tuesday night when Lori Bongartz’ La Salle County Clerk’s office published what was called a 100% complete tally of 119 of 119 precincts with Breeden slightly ahead by about 1,500 votes.
The numbers changed one hour later to this:
Lance Yednock 26,321 to Travis Breeden 22,464.
