The Ottawa leaf vacuum crew gets to work today. The first area of the city to be done is north of Norris Dr. and west of Columbus St.
City Commissioner Marla Rodriguez says you should get your leaves out by the berm as soon as you can, if you want to get rid of them that way. She can’t predict when the crew will move from one area to the next. And the workers will not have time to go back to get leaves put out after they’ve been through.
Rodriguez says the workers don’t skip piles, but they can’t make the leaf vacuum hose reach around cars parked in the way.
