US Marshalls finally caught up with a 32-year-old Ottawa man, Dezzan Phillips and he is back behind bars at the La Salle County jail after his arrest Thursday for domestic battery.
Phillips was released from prison in 2021 and on parole for a string of felonies when he wound up on the 15 most wanted fugitives list for robbery in October.
Phillips is a convicted felon for numerous drug charges, possession of a gun, and for being involved in a fatal bar fight.
La Salle County jail superintendent Jason Edgecomb is off today for Veteran’s Day and could not be reached for comment.
