Fifty-one year old Nancy Newell of Streator is scheduled for trial in December for charges related to the police search north of Streator last week. Newell is charged with burglary and retail theft. She was in court before Judge H. Chris Ryan this morning.
Her case is going before a different judge than 29-year old Leroy Persinger of Streator, who was arrested after the same search. He faces some different charges, including theft, attempted burglary, and auto theft. Judge Cynthia Raccuglia also gave Persinger a December trial date yesterday.
