A local marijuana-growing business needs more electricity than it’s getting. Green Thumb Industries is paying the city of Oglesby $237,000 to have new transformers installed on the part of the power system it gets electricity from. The company started its indoor marijuana plantation in Oglesby this year. Being able to use more electricity will enable GTI to expand.
