A ten-year old is accused of arson in connection with a house fire in Marseilles Friday. It took 20 firefighters from the Marseilles and Wallace Fire Departments to put out the fire. No injuries were reported. The fire caused an estimated $50,000 to $80,000 in damages.
Marseilles police examined damaged surveillance video recovered after the fire was under control. The child is being sent to the juvenile divisions at the LaSalle County State’s Attorney’s Office and court system.
