Ottawa Police and EMS made a grisly discovery on Halloween. A person lay unresponsive and lifeless on the Illinois Riverwalk at the 500 block of Columbus Street shortly after noon.
An Ottawa Ambulance transported the man to the Saint Elizabeth Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The cause of death is pending at this time, and no foul play is suspected.
Ottawa Police are being assisted in the investigation by the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office. More information will be forthcoming.
