For 38-year old Joshua N. Hamrick to get out of jail, he must post 10% of the $20,000 bail already set for him in an aggravated fleeing and eluding case. He asked Judge H. Chris Ryan to lower his bond to $7,500 so he can visit his brother who was seriously hurt in an accident. Ryan said Friday $20,000 is already a low bond for the charges.
Prosecutor Matt Kidder told the judge that Hamrick—accused of trying to get away from police during a Mendota area chase in late August–is the definition of a flight risk. Hamrick is also wanted in the state of Oregon in a heroin case and Kidder says he has serious charges on his criminal record.
