In a forum on WCMY Saturday, Democratic Congressional candidate Dani Brzozowski said the federal government needs to do more for pandemic relief.
Incumbent Republican Adam Kinzinger said the Payroll Protection Program should be expanded, but it shouldn’t be a blank check bill that nobody reads first. Even better, he says, would be an infrastructure program that makes big investments in America.
Brzozowski says Kinzinger hasn’t supported infrastructure bills. Kinzinger criticized Brzozowski for not supporting an Illinois Cement expansion that would create 150 high paying jobs.
Brzozowski says there was a bad side to the company’s expansion plans when it came to local property values and quality of life.
