The Marseilles City Council will meet at 5:30pm Wednesday, September 16. That is half an hour earlier than usual to accommodate a public hearing.
According to City Clerk Lesley Hart, Marseilles is petitioning for a Community Development Block Grant and a public hearing is a requirement.
The Grant would be for $550,000 dollars to complete a Sanitary Sewer Replacement and Lining Project. Sewers upgraded would be at Gum Creek, Bluff Street and Union Street Crossing.
