The replica canal boat along the Illinois and Michigan Canal in Ottawa needs repairs from the storm of three weeks ago. Ottawa Canal Association President Arnie Bandstra is contacting builders for cost estimates on replacing the cabin that was torn off. The derecho and tornado also damaged the flag pole in front of the tollhouse. The tollhouse is just fine though.
The tollhouse has been open for visits on Sundays since the storm.
