Marseilles has a new police officer. Jacob Bakalik, joins ten other full-time and three part-time officers.
This week, Melissa Small, Commissioner of Public Health & Safety, swore in Jacob Bakalik. Police Chief Brian Faber introduced Bakalik, a Gardner resident and Gardner-South Wilmington High School graduate. For the past two months, Bakalik has been with the Marseilles Police Department and the city of Dwight part-time. In addition, he has been serving with the U.S. Army National Guard.
