Two staff members and 18 students at Streator High have been told to quarantine because of possible coronavirus exposure. The district says two students have been confirmed to have the virus, but neither has been at school since the school year started. One is doing remote learning. Streator High is making updates to the public on its web site.

Streator Elementary says it will have more information out in the next few days about possible coronavirus exposure in its schools. Parents of Kimes and Centennial school students were notified Thursday.

Woodland School south of Streator has advised some teachers and staff to isolate themselves after one staff member tested positive for the virus.

No exposures were reported at Ottawa High School, but the district has switched to all remote learning for the next three weeks. Supt. Mike Cushing says the decision was made based on health data for the county.
