Cong. Adam Kinzinger says the U.S. Postal Service is a constitutional function of government and should be funded. He’s not sure he’ll support funding it all the way up to $25 billion though. He and other members of the U.S. House will get the chance to hash it out this weekend. Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called a special session to deal with postal service funding.
Democrats believe the postal service is slow lately because of Trump Administration meddling to make it unable to handle mail-in voting. Republicans, including Kinzinger, say it’s because the pandemic has affected service. Kinzinger says people are having more merchandise delivered instead of buying it in stores. Kinzinger talked about it on the Fox 32 program Good Day Chicago.
