LaSalle County reports 935 coronavirus cases so far with 24 cases added Saturday and the removal of another case involving someone who lives in another county. The new cases range in age from their teens to their 80s. The LaSalle County Health Department logged 21 more recoveries for a total of 445. No additional deaths were reported, so the figure remains at 29.
The Illinois Department of Public Health added 1,828 new cases for 204,519 so far. Five more deaths were reported for 7,726 so far. The state says the week-long positive test rate is 4.0%. Of 1,538 people hospitalized with the virus in Illinois as of Friday night, 330 were in intensive care units and 127 were on ventilators.
