A missing woman was found alive in LaSalle County late last night. Sandwich police say she’d made suicidal comments to her friends before she drove away at about one yesterday morning. Police were able to get her cell phone location last night and found her car parked at Buffalo Rock State Park. The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Department says there was blood inside the car and an empty knife sheath on the front seat.
Searchers from several agencies looked for her and found the 57-year old in a wooded area two hours later. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital. Sheriff Tom Templeton says the search shows how willing various police agencies are to work together.
