Democrats and Republicans have several big differences to work out in the next coronavirus relief bill, including how much to pay people who are out of work. The $600 extra per week is expiring. Republicans want to do with a lot less, if there’s an extra benefit at all. They say it incentivizes people staying home when they could return to work.

Democratic Congressional candidate Dani Brzozowski says if that’s the case, it shows how people aren’t paid enough to get by for working.

The Republican plan contains payroll credits for employers hiring people back and a back-to-work bonus for the workers.

Brzozowski is running for the seat that Republican Adam Kinzinger now holds.
