Coronavirus case numbers went up by 21 in LaSalle County in the statistics given Saturday. The LaSalle County Health Department says there have been 409 cases so far, after including another revision downward for someone who wasn’t a county resident as previously thought.
The county reported one more recovery for a total of 229. No additional deaths were reported in the county.
Of the new cases tallied Saturday, they range in age from the teens to the 100s. About half are in their 70s and up.
Illinois Department of Public Health figures show 1,426 more cases for a total of 169,883. The state recorded 12 more deaths from COVID-19 for 7,397 so far. IDPH says 1,438 people were hospitalized with the virus Friday night with 341 in intensive care unit and 110 on ventilators.
