Since the pandemic started, Mediacom has ignored the data use meters for its internet customers. People working and learning at home haven’t had to worry about videoconferencing and other high demand uses pushing their bills up. And of course, some people are just playing more video games or watching more movies because they don’t have anything else to do.

Spokeswoman Phyllis Peters says the company’s internet system has handled it so far.

The company is extending some of the policies adopted during the pandemic by at least two more months to keep accommodating internet users. Going over your plan’s monthly limit won’t cost extra through the August billing cycle. After that, Mediacom will allow 100GB per month more than your billing cycle allows until the end of the year.

Also, discount offers on the Access Internet 60 and Connect 2 Compete plans will continue into August. They were aimed at getting people who need internet for education hooked up.
