A crowd of neighbors gathered and watched a parade wishing happy birthday to now 100-year-old Francis “Kay” Killelea of Ottawa Saturday.
The World War II veteran served in the Infantry in both Europe and the Pacific. He was surprised by the parade that drove up the Poplar Street hill with lots of car horns honking and people cheering.
Even at 100, Killelea still does his own yard work. He says he doesn’t have any new advice for making it to that age, but does suggest having happy hour once in a while.
