Ottawa City Hall is closing streets and parking lots in the downtown area and the south side so people can see the fireworks display on Saturday July 4th.
Public viewing areas are at the Jordan Block, the old Central School site, and Allen Park. Social distancing is encouraged.
Main and Madison streets will be closed from LaSalle to Columbus streets. Madison Street will also be closed from Clinton to LaSalle streets.
Court Street is being closed from Main to Madison streets.
LaSalle Street access at Lincoln Place will be closed.
No parking will be allowed on Hitt Street from State Street west to city limits and East Prospect Avenue from State Street to 1st Avenue.
Ottawa High School will be completely closed. Closures start at seven that night and end at one Sunday morning.
