Angel M. Farmer of Peru, also known as “Accountability Angel” on YouTube, was sentenced to six weekends in LaSalle County Jail on July 27 for two counts of misdemeanor battery and one count of obstructing a peace officer.

Farmer has gained popularity online for trying to expose corruption in public facilities. In March 2021, Farmer and her brother Jacob Farmer recorded themselves entering the LaSalle County Courthouse and arguing with security officers. The pair also made physical contact with an officer.

According to Judge H. Chris Ryan, he hesitated to give her jail time because of her two children.

Her brother was found guilty of battery and obstructing justice last year for the incident. He faces three weekends in county jail and two years probation.
