The body recovered from the Illinois River on Saturday has been identified as 41-year-old Nicholas P. Williams of Matteson. The LaSalle County Coroner’s Office says an autopsy will be done on the body. Conservation Police says Williams was found in the River in the area of Covel Creek at around 9:30 Saturday morning. An investigation is ongoing.
