The Regional Office of Education and Ottawa Elementary School District is co-hosting a Substitute Teacher Open House on Mon., Aug. 7, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Central School.
The organizations created this event to attract qualified sub-candidates and help alleviate the current substitute teacher shortage in the Ottawa area.
The Open House will feature:
- Fingerprinting and background checks
- Paperwork for Ottawa Elementary and the Regional Office of Education #35
- Help with creating ELIS accounts
- The option to apply for a SUB License
Those interested should bring two forms of I.D., official sealed transcripts from college and $75 cash or check to cover fingerprinting costs.
