An Ottawa man was hurt in a crash that claimed another man’s life in Lee County Thursday afternoon. State Police say 57-year old Phillip J. Hatland had minor injuries after the other driver went off one side of U.S. 30 and then went back onto the highway into the oncoming traffic lane. Hatland was driving a Mack truck tractor pulling a flatbed trailer. Forty-one year old Cecilio Flores of Shabbona was that other driver and died. The SUV Flores was driving hit the truck head-on.
