Gov. Pritzker says a five phase plan will be implemented to reopen the state. Each phase depends on a number of factors that include how fast coronavirus is spreading and how many people are in the hospital. The whole state has experienced phase 1 – where strict social distancing is enforced and only essential businesses are open. Each phase after that reduces restrictions and allows more things to open. Phase 5 is essentially back to normal, but is contingent on a vaccine or highly effective treatment.
The state has been divided into four regions and each region could advance differently than the other three.
More on the plan is here.
