A second ribbon cutting was held for the Marseilles boat launch. But this time the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce was there to recognize and congratulate the city. Chamber Ambassador Matt Mooneyham says the river is a huge part of Ottawa and Marseilles and he hopes that people will come and use the boat launch. Mayor Jim Hollenbeck says the city has been working on the project since the 1990s. A grant helped with the project.

The whole project cost about $450,000. The city held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in September last year when the launch first opened.
