Streator Police investigated their fifth shooting incident in three months Sunday. Police Chief John Franklin says police were called to the 700 block of E. Bridge St. after a report of shots fired. Police found a 52-year old man shot once in his right leg and began treating him. The man was later taken to OSF Streator before later being flown to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Franklin says his injuries are non-life threatening. Evidence was turned over to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab. The incident is still under investigation but anyone with information is asked to call Streator Police at 815-844-0911.
