The LaSalle County Health Department announced twelve new COVID-19 cases Saturday. Cases include seven men and five women with ages ranging from their twenties to their eighties. The county’s total confirmed case count is now at 67. Four more people have recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 30.
Illinois on Saturday announced 2,450 new cases and 105 new deaths. The state has had 58,505 cases and 2,559 deaths. Health officials in LaSalle County have said that the number of local cases will likely increase until Illinois reaches its peak – which is estimated to happen later this month.
