Park closures could help their ecosystems

While some state parks stay closed, some of the living things in them may benefit from people not being around. Conservation Police Sgt. John Williamson says sometimes mushrooms do better without people trampling them and fish spawn better when people aren’t catching them.

Williamson says the benefits could last a few years.
