Two people are okay after a Jet Ski they rented from Heritage Harbor flipped over in the Illinois River in Ottawa. Ottawa Fire Capt. Kevin Theis says the fire department was called around 3:40 yesterday afternoon to Allen Park after someone saw a man and a woman in their mid-20’s holding onto the Jet Ski after it tipped. The Ottawa River Rescue squad later went and got the two from the river and they both refused to be treated. Theis says the Jet Ski most likely flipped over because of inexperience riding one.
