Online challenges can expose personal information to hackers

The Better Business Bureau is warning against a social media trend where people are posting senior pictures of themselves and graduation info. While it may seem like harmless fun, hackers take advantage of that information as many people use things like their high school graduation year as a security question for online accounts. The same things goes for other list posts like top ten athletes, cars you’ve owned, and favorite television shows. The Better Business Bureau suggests reviewing security settings on social media platforms. If you recently shared something that you realize is an answer to one of your online security questions – change the question and password for the account.
