The LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office is introducing a senior check-in program. The program allows family members who live outside the area to check in on older loved ones.
A LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office employee will call the senior once a week on a pre-scheduled day and time to check in with them. If something is wrong or the senior doesn’t pick up the call, the sheriff’s office will call the senior’s emergency contacts.
To qualify for the program, the senior must live alone and have no family members nearby.
