Five IVCC students are studying abroad this summer in Spain and Austria.

IVCC Professor and Study Abroad Coordinator Amanda Cook Fesperman is working to increase the interest and number of students that study abroad from IVCC.

Three of the five students received scholarships to help pay for their programs and travels.

“I am very excited for the experience. I think the opportunity for exposure to other parts of the world is an important part of learning,” IVCC student Lynn Keyt said.

Adult student Keyt will be studying German culture and music appreciation in Salzburg, Austria.

IVCC offers programs in multiple countries for students to visit during the summer.

“Students can spend up to five weeks in the summer earning college credit in Austria, Costa Rica, England, France, Ireland or Spain for about the same cost as a one-week vacation,” Cook Fesperman said.
