The final steel piece for the new Ottawa YMCA was installed yesterday. Members of the YMCA board, Ottawa city officials, and other partners signed the piece of steel, which will be seen from the inside of the new walking track when the building is built by next year. Membership and Marketing Director Kelly Petterson says the group also saw what’s been built so far.
Construction on the new Y started toward the end of last year. The new building will have a multi-use gym, a new pool, group exercise studios, and a kids’ adventure center.
