This Monday is the Ottawa Memorial Association’s Memorial Day Parade. Memorial Association Pres. Katie Trocolli says the event starts at the Vietnam Veterans Plaza at 9am. The Navy memorial wreath drop is at 9:30 with the parade to follow. At 10:15, the association hosts the Memorial Day Ceremony in Washington Park. Jean Furlik with the Ottawa American Legion Auxiliary explained who the special guests are for this year’s event.
John Duback with the Ottawa American Legion says volunteers are needed to help set up the flags for the plaza and in Washington Park for the event.
