The third annual Kites in Flight in Ottawa looks different this year. This year it takes place in Riverfront Park on Clinton St. and goes on for two days instead of one. Donna Reynolds with the Ottawa Visitors Center says the Chicago Kite Company asked to move the event because there wasn’t as much room at Heritage Harbor. Reynolds says the company will be doing kite demonstrations again this year.
There will also be plenty of things to do besides kite flying.
The event is this Saturday from 11am to 5pm and Sunday from 11-4. There will be other entertainment like a reptile show and a juggler plus a showing of the Disney movie Finding Nemo Saturday night.
