Ottawa police arrested two people Saturday night after a shooting incident. Detective Sgt. Scott Harden says police were called to the 300 block of Deleon St. after someone called about hearing gunfire in the area. Police got a search warrant for a home on Deleon St. after they found evidence that a shooting happened, although no one was hurt. During the search police arrested 44-year old Thomas J. Higgins and 18-year old Keegan M. Peters. Higgins is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Peters is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Both of their bonds were set at $250,000.
