A shooting in Streator is now being ruled a homicide. Police were called to the 100 block of W. Hickory St. early Saturday morning after three people were shot. Streator police say a 35-year old woman succumbed to her injuries after she was taken to OSF St. Francis Medical Center Peoria after first going to OSF Streator. A man was also taken to St. Francis Medical Center, but his condition is unknown. Police Chief John Franklin the daughter of the 35-year old woman was treated and released. Police are asking again for people with information to contact them by calling 815-844-0911. They are also asking residents on W. Hickory St. that have home video surveillance to review the footage to see if it could help in the investigation. A dark-colored Pontiac Grand Prix was seen driving away from the area when the incident happened.
Police are also looking for information about an incident in the 100 block of N. Bloomington St. About a hour before the homicide, they were called for a shots fired incident. No one was hurt. Police found evidence that a gun had been fired.
