The Ottawa City Council approved grant terms to get money for improvements at Allan Park earlier this week. The city was awarded a $506,000 Open Spaces Land Acquisition and Development Grant. But the council had to approve coming up with the other half of the money for the project. Commissioner Marla Pearson says there is no start time yet but there are plans. They were drawn by City Engineer Tom Duttlinger.
She says a lot of the work will be done on the hill of the park. The work can be spread out over three years to be easier on the budget.
