About fifty volunteers are expected to help build a new home for Habitat for Humanity in Peru. Executive Director Todd Volker says each volunteer does a little bit of everything during the build.
People who want to help volunteer for the build can contact the Habitat for Humanity of LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam counties by calling 815-434-2041 or by going to the Habitat for LaSalle,Bureau and Putnam County’s website . Not only will there be volunteers to help build the home but the family chosen to live in the home has to put in 500 hours of work. Volker says there were 27 applicants for the home being built.
