Verilife employees voting on contract in Ottawa and four other places

Teamsters Local 777 members are voting on a labor contract covering more than 100 Verilife cannabis dispensary employees in five cities including Ottawa. The union says the tentative contract provides pay raises, employer-funded retirement plans, and more full-time work opportunities. The union says it’s a good example of a company and employees working together. Its news release doesn’t say how many years the agreement would last. Teamsters members are currently on strike at three places operated by Green Thumb Industries through a brand called Rise.
