No people or animals were hurt after a house fire Wednesday morning. The Reading Fire Department says firefighters were called to E. 14th Rd west of Streator at about 3:35 in the morning. When they arrived they found the home engulfed in flames and the roof had collapsed. It took under an hour to put out the fire with help from 24 firefighters that were also called to the fire. No one was hurt and no animals were harmed. The cause of the fire hasn’t been announced. The Leonore and Lostant Fire Departments were also called to help put out the fire. The department also thanked Streator EMS, the LaSalle and Livingston County dispatchers, Illinois American Water, ComEd, and the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office.
