Over a 33-year period, the people of the Ottawa area helped the Ottawa Sunrise Rotary club collect close to 8,000 books and more than 16,000 toys. The club’s effort has earned a Literacy Award from the Rotary District 6420. The Sunrise Rotary gives the books and toys to the Ottawa Salvation Army each Christmas for distribution to families that can’t afford much. Sunrise Rotary President Rick Scott thanks the Ottawa community for its support.
