There are two new aldermen on the Peru City Council. Andy Moreno represents the fourth ward. Rick O’Sadnick represents the third ward. Moreno was on the city’s planning commission before running for city council. O’Sadnick says he wants to take care of his constituents of the third ward and listen to their concerns because the third ward is the oldest ward in the city, and at times the most neglected.

He beat incumbent David Waldorf in the April 4th election. Moreno is now has the seat of former Fourth Ward Alderman Aaron Buffo. Incumbent Aldermen Tom Payton and Jeff Ballard were also sworn in after they won their races in the April 4th election.
