Illinois Valley Community College is partnering with the Nell’s Woodland Foundation in Ottawa. Pres. Jerry Corcoran says the organization reached out to the college about using the 60-acre nature preserve. Director of Continuing Education Jennifer Scheri says the college would offer wellness courses. They would be for students who want to learn a new hobby like painting, photography, and yoga.
The classes could start as early as this summer. The organization also provides programs that focus on Ecology, Wellness, and the Arts.
