A company working to put up wind turbines in southwest LaSalle County wants to make sure there are enough people to keep the turbines running. Hickory Wind is starting a scholarship at Illinois Valley Community College. It would pay $5,000 each to two students per year. Qualifying students would be in the industrial electrician or renewable energy programs. The money could be used for tuition, fees, books, and other related expenses.
